Former 'Love Island' star Ovie Soko is aiming to launch a music career.
The pro basketball player appeared on the ITV2 juggernaut in 2019, and he is now trying his hand at writing his own rap tunes.
A music industry source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Ovie’s music career is in the early stages but it’s an industry he is making moves to get into.
"He has been working hard in the studio, writing and recording tunes, and reckons he has music people would like."
While he hasn't signed a record deal just yet, Ovie has received "really good feedback" about his songs.
The source added: "Ovie wants to get a record label involved but that hasn’t happened yet.
“He has had some really good feedback so far but is still working hard, so it will be a while until anyone hears anything."
If Ovie does manage to make a success in music, he will follow in the footsteps of fellow Love Islander Wes Nelson, 23, who scored a top 10 hit with 'See Nobody' last year.
Wes continued his stint in the music business by joining forces with Clean Bandit for tune 'Drive', after landing a deal with industry giant Universal Music, which boasts superstars such as Kanye West, Rihanna and Adele.
Alongside his TV career, Ovie has played basketball professionally for the Great Britain men's national team and has also worked as a model for fashion retailer ASOS, releasing a collection alongside his dad in 2019.
He finished in third place in the fifth series of 'Love Island', behind the winners, beautician Amber Gill, 24, and rugby player Greg O'Shea, 26.
