Love Islands’ Hugo Hammond’s inbox is “full” with messages from fans since he was dumped from the villa last week.
The 24-year-old PE teacher may not have had much luck on the dating show, but he's hopeful he will find The One in the outside world once he's riffled through the proposals he's received from potential love interests across his social networking sites.
Speaking on 'Lorraine' on Wednesday (11.08.21), Hugo said: "My DMs [direct messages] have been rather full since leaving the show so maybe I’ll have more luck on the outside world than I did on the inside of the villa."
The hunk has also attracted the attention of fellow celebrities as former 'Love Island' star Francesca Allen has tried to get his attention by commenting on one of his pictures on Instagram - but he's not interested in getting to know her on a personal level.
He explained when pressed on their relationship: “There's nothing there, that was just a comment on an Instagram [picture]."
However, Hugo would like to get to know new 'Love Island' bombshell Priya Gopaldas - who joined the show after he was dumped from the island - once she comes out of the villa because she seems like a "great girl".
He said: "I saw Priya go in and I thought - having just seeing bits and bobs of her over the last couple of episodes - she looks like a great girl and I would have loved to have got to know her but unfortunately I'll have to wait a couple of weeks to do that."
Hugo sparked a backlash from viewers just before his axe last week when he said "job done" after sharing his first kiss with former love interest Amy Day in the Casa Amor villa, but he's adamant he never meant for it to come out that way and it was just him being "a little bit silly."
He explained: "The job done was meant to be something you just think but unfortunately, it just slipped out. It was generally just me being a little bit silly. I was relieved, I was so nervous before that kiss, I was just relieved I finally had some affection with someone and I was just happy."
