There’s a power shift in tonight’s (June 29th, 2022) episode of Love Island, as the girls are told they will be given the choice of which boy they’d like to couple up with in the next recoupling.
After the awkward heart rate challenge in the last episode, some of the lads are keen to try and make amends with their better halves.
When Dami and Andrew surprise Indiyah and Tasha with a homemade breakfast, the two couldn't be happier and Indiyah says: “My heart is racing for this pancake, you deffo made up, you deffo made up for yourselves.”

Over on the day beds, Jacques also wants to speak to Paige about how he reacted following his heart rate monitor going up the most when his ex-girlfriend Gemma 'performed' for him.
He says: “When you actually opened up and told me why, I was like ok, I apologise. I should’ve had your feelings first before mine.”
Promising to “prove” how much Paige means to him, Jacques opens up more in the Beach Hut: “Last night with Paige, I was quite selfish at first - I realised that pretty quick when I spoke to her. I should’ve been there for her straight away.”
Meanwhile, Ekin-Su is suddenly feeling extremely conflicted when it comes to who she wants to couple up with.

Returning her attentions to Davide after it was revealed she got his heart rate higher than the rest of the girls, she speaks to Gemma about the whole situation and asks her: "Do you think he is interested in me?"
Gemma says: “I think he is but it will be a longer process, there still definitely is chemistry. Everyone can see it.”
Talking in the Beach Hut, Ekin-Su ponders: “I have these three boys in front of me, all of them have given me something great. Charlie is amazing, I’m myself with him - everything flows, nothing is forced. Jay obviously there’s a very big sexual chemistry with him, then you have Davide who we did start something… what do I do?”
After hitting a brick wall with Andrew, Danica pulls Jay for a chat and lays her cards on the table, saying: “If I’m honest, you were in my top three when I first came in, looks wise, so it’s not like I’d be completely closed off to being in a couple with yourself. I think it’s important for me to let you know that you’re somebody that I would consider.”
Then there's Antigoni who has been a breath of fresh air since her arrival but, failed to make any ground with any of the boys.
Discussing her options with the girls, she says: “With Davide, I’m super comfortable - we really get along. Whatever it ended up being, it would be authentic. With Jay there was an initial attraction there but obviously I came in as this whole saga with Paige was unravelling and now he’s turned round in the last few days and is like I want to get to know you on a more romantic level. Part of me would like to get to know Jay still…’
Exactly who will pick who remains to be seen, so tune in tonight for the latest!
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
