'Love Island' security removed an intruder from the villa on Tuesday night (08.07.21).
The ITV2 show's team had to give the area a "deep clean" after YouTuber Omer Majid filmed himself getting into the villa before he was caught by guards.
A spokesman told The Sun newspaper: "Last night a security breach was identified and an intruder was removed from the villa with immediate effect.
“The safety of both our Islanders and our production crew remains our primary concern.
“As part of our stringent COVID safety measures, the villa area that was trespassed has been fully deep cleaned before being made accessible again to the Islanders and crew."
According to the publication, a source has revealed the show - which is hosted by Laura Whitmore - has stepped up security after the breach.
It's said the YouTube prankster - who has 11,000 followers on the video platform - was searched and released by security, but no call was made to the police.
Before going live from the villa, Majid had hinted at his presence in Majorca on his Instagram Story.
In one, he showed a hot air balloon promoting fishing port Cala Ratjada, which is found on the north-eastern side of the island.
Former Islanders Alex Miller previously revealed the dating show's security team have to stop potential trespassers at least five times every day.
He said: "When I left, I chatted with the guys who looked after us.
“They told me at least five people a day try to access that villa - but so far no one has got in. They're clearly doing a good job! I was impressed."
And a spokesman for 'Love Island' previously commented: "There is round the clock, wide security coverage at the villa site and the islanders’ protection and safety is our top priority.”
