Louis Walsh is to compete on the new car show the 'Drive'.
The former 'X Factor' judge, who was dropped from the panel in 2014, is set to make his TV comeback on ITV's new gig, which will rival 'Top Gear', as he goes head-to-head against another star in various driving challenges.
A source said: "The full line-up is being kept under wraps. But Louis is very excited about it. He's a brilliant character, not afraid to speak his mind and cut people down to size."
The stars involved in the forthcoming show will be instructed by professionals as they jump behind the wheel of different motors, including luxury sports cars and 4x4s.
The show is expected to hit screens later this year and will be a stage-by-stage competition, with weaker contestants being given the boot and finalists getting the chance to drive a car similar to Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton's.
The insider added to The Sun newspaper: "ITV has got really high hopes for this one and it is shaping up to be a great show. It will be broadcast later this year.
"People will be eliminated each week and whoever's left by the end will compete in the final and get to race Formula 4000 cars, which are slightly less powerful versions of the F1 cars Lewis Hamilton drives."
