Louis Tomlinson is reportedly poised to become a member of 'The X Factor' judging panel.
The 26-year-old singer first starred on the ITV show as a solo contestant shortly before he joined One Direction, and Louis is now being eyed for a judging role alongside the likes of Robbie Williams, his wife Ayda Field and music mogul Simon Cowell.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Louis is very much a part of the 'X Factor' family.
"He's a close friend of the show and would make a brilliant judge. Simon mentored One Direction and signed them to Syco Records, Now he's looking after Louis' solo career - which is going really well.
"Simon hopes the deal will be done in the next few days."
One Direction came third in the 2010 series of 'The X Factor', but are the most successful band ever created by the ITV programme.
Meanwhile, Robbie is reportedly on the cusp of replacing Louis Walsh on the judging panel.
The chart-topping star - who has been married to Ayda since 2010 - is said to be a "dream" signing for Simon, who has developed a close relationship with the 'She's the One' hitmaker over recent years.
A source previously said: "There's a deal on the table and Robbie is keen to do it. The hope is that the deal is days away from being signed and announced."
