Louis Theroux has hinted at joining 'Strictly Come Dancing'

The 51-year-old documentary-maker loves dancing in his kitchen at home and has suggested he'd love to appear on the BBC show one day.

He said: "I like to think I’m a good dancer.

"I know I’ve had too many drinks when I’m in the kitchen dancing while listening to something on the smart speaker - often hip-hop - and I start doing the funky robot and then I start doing MC Hammer spins. And that’s where it happens and I start thinking I should really go on 'Strictly'."

On the other hand, Louis has ruled himself out of ever appearing on 'The Masked Singer,' admitting he hasn't "got a brilliant voice".

Asked about the possibility, he said on 'The Jonathan Ross Show': "I haven’t got a brilliant voice. I’ve got a very narrow range in which I can hold a tune."

Louis wrote a new book, titled 'Theroux The Keyhole', during the coronavirus lockdown.

And the TV star - who has been married to his wife, Nancy, since 2012 - discussed the ways in which he passed the time amid the pandemic.

Speaking about his drinking habits in lockdown, Louis said: "My wife Nancy would be saying ‘You’re drunk aren’t you? I can tell. You’re doing a squinty thing with your eyes.’ And I thought I was disguising it well. It was never the case that I thought it was getting away from me."

Louis also turned to exercise as a means of coping with the lockdown.

The documentary-maker revealed that he followed Joe Wicks' online workout classes.

He shared: "My other way of coping in lockdown was exercise, so I would do a Joe Wicks. I became a slightly missionary convert to the Joe Wicks programme of exercise."

'The Jonathan Ross Show' is on Saturday (20.11.21) at 9.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
