Lorraine Kelly ripped her dress just minutes before she was due to walk the red carpet at the National Television Awards on Wednesday (25.01.17).
The 57-year-old presenter was forced to find a new frock at the last minute after she accidentally pierced her "showstopper" gown with the heel of her shoe just before she was about to make her way to the glamorous event at London's O2 Arena.
Speaking on her breakfast show 'Lorraine' on Thursday (26.01.17), she said: "I had a real showstopper of a dress lined up. It was white and shimmery but I put my heel straight through the fabric. That was a big lesson. Don't put your heels on before your dress. I couldn't believe it. The car was literally waiting for me outside."
However, the brunette beauty still managed to look stunning as she had a golden satin frock she could slip on lying in her wardrobe just in case of emergencies.
She said: "Always have a spare dress in your wardrobe. You've got to have a plan B."
Lorraine's show was up for Best Live Magazine alongside 'BBC Breakfast', 'Loose Women' and 'The One Show' but all four unfortunately missed out to 'This Morning'.
