Lorraine Kelly got "extremely drunk" following the news she will be honoured with a CBE.
The 60-year-old TV presenter - who was awarded an OBE back in 2012 - celebrated her latest achievement by having a few beverages on Friday (09.10.20).
She told Piers Morgan on 'Good Morning Britain': "It's a great excuse - I got extremely drunk on Friday night. I just thought ... I would have anyway, but I got even more so. It was lovely!"
Lorraine was "surprised and really delighted" to have been included on Queen Elizabeth's Birthday Honours List.
However, she acknowledged that frontline workers - like 'Good Morning Britain's Dr Hilary Jones - deserve special credit.
She shared: "This year, of course, it's all about our incredible frontline workers who have been keeping us safe and helping us through this crisis.
"I'm deeply honoured just to be in the same company as these wonderful men and women, and so pleased that my friend and colleague Dr Hilary Jones has also been given a gong."
Lorraine recently hailed Dr Hilary's contribution to 'Good Morning Britain' throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
She told HELLO! magazine: "Dr Hilary has been the voice of calm and reason throughout the pandemic. He's on air every morning making sense of the new rules and bringing wisdom and clarity when it has been needed most."
Lorraine also admitted that receiving an OBE from the Queen remains one of the "proudest" days of her life.
She said: "I was given an OBE by the Queen at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh during her Diamond Jubilee.
"I did a live broadcast for my show outside the palace gates at 8.30am in the morning and always remembering being approached by a large policeman who I thought was going to ask me and the cameraman to 'move along'. Instead, he politely asked for a 'selfie' which was a brilliant start to the day."
