The BBC programme was due to air its first live episode this Saturday (17.10.20), but bosses have postponed the episode after several production members tested positive, but the girl band - Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson - do not have Covid-19 and don't need to isolate.

A Little Mix spokesman told The Sun Online: "They’ve all tested negative and do not need to isolate.

"They will be regularly tested throughout the run of the series."

The BBC confirmed yesterday (14.10.20) the show will not air this Saturday, but they hope to be back on our screens on the following Saturday, October 24th.

A statement from the BBC read: "We can confirm that a small number of people on the 'Little Mix The Search' production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.

"Due to the format of the show we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme.

"There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount. We hope to be back on air on Saturday 24 October."

Little Mix have put together four bands - all-boy, all-girl, mixed, and a dance group - on the programme, and the wannabe groups will take each other on in the live shows.

The postponement is the latest blow to the series, which had already been pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic.
