Lisa Riley has been laughing with her "brothers" Dominic Brunt and Mark Charnock like she's never been away from 'Emmerdale'.
The trio have reunited on set after the 42-year-old star confirmed this week she will be reprising her role as Mandy Dingle in the new year, and she has found it an "absolute joy" to team up with Dominic (Paddy Kirk) and Mark (Marlon Dingle) again.
She wrote on Twitter: "Absolute joy working with my (what feels like) life brothers....@dominicbrunt and @markcharnock (sic)"
Mark tweeted: "Already laughing like you've never been away!!! (sic)"
The pair's message came after Dominic told fans the trio were working together on a cold morning yesterday (15.11.18).
He wrote: "Frosty morning but the village looks beautiful at this time of year. Working with @Reallisariley and @markcharnock today. @emmerdale x (sic)"
Lisa admitted this week she never expected to return to the soap after 17 years away from the programme.
She said: "I could not be happier to be returning in the New Year to Emmerdale. It's something I never thought would happen after 17 years and I am so interested to see what trouble Mandy is capable of causing.
"But mostly being back with all my old friends, it's like I've never been away."
'Emmerdale' producer Kate Brooks added: "Iconic Mandy Dingle returns to the village carrying a secret that turns lives upside down.
"She's a character bursting with fun who certainly ruffles a few feathers during her short stint back in the village, and she clearly hasn't lost any of the joie de vivre that made Mandy so popular and enjoyable to watch.
"We're delighted to welcome Lisa back to Emmerdale."
