Vanessa Feltz struggles without a romantic companion
The 61-year-old star will feature on the new series of E4 show 'Celebs Go Dating' after her split from Ben Ofoedu earlier this year and teased what viewers will see in her attempts to find a new romance.
Vanessa told the Mirror newspaper: "I think they'll be surprised to see the vulnerability and I'm not someone who is comfortable with being single, I don't like it. People who like it, that's great but, I don't like it."
The TalkTV presenter explained how her daughters Allegra and Saskia had persuaded her to sign up for the programme and revealed that her family and friends have all been supportive of the move.
Vanessa said: "(They've been) very good about it. Both my daughters are big fans of the show. They said there's no downside, definitely do it. My friends have all been really encouraging."
The broadcaster recently revealed that it felt as if she was "wading through treacle" when a date did not go to plan and lamented that she is a "rotten picker" of men.
Vanessa explained on 'This Morning': "I think dating is damn difficult. I've not done it for 17 years. I wouldn't sit here and pretend it's a breeze and a blast. When it's not going well it's like wading through treacle. But when you meet someone it can be easy it can be bliss. It can be great. It's just a numbers game isn't it... I have been a rotten picker, I haven't been good at picking. I thought the agents must be able to do better than I can, they can't do any worse."
