Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish hadn't spoken to each other "at all" before their "awkward" TV interview this week.
The waitress and marketing student split up on the ITV2 show last week before quitting the programme early, and Liberty admitted it was "not the best" appearing in a live TV interview on 'This Morning' with ex Jake this week following their villa departure.
She said: "You might have seen the awkward TV interview, that's because we hadn't spoke to each other at all after breaking up and to then go on TV.
"So that's why it was a bit obviously awkward on them TV shows.
"Obviously we've spoke since and we're just friends at the moment, there's no animosity between us.
"It's just, I think I did the right decision for me at the time and I'm happy with my decision.
"Obviously there's no bad blood between us.
"It's not the best, being on there with your ex, I'm not gonna lie."
Jake admitted some former 'Love Island' stars have slid into his DMs, but he refused to name names.
However, the water engineer admitted Dreamboys have been in touch with him, and he is keen to join the male strip show.
He said: "I've had a couple of DMs from them, but I haven't signed anything yet so you'll have to wait and see.
"I've worked hard for what I've got so why not show it off."
What's more, Liberty is keen to land a TV show with her 'Love Island' BFF Kaz Kamwi.
Speaking on 'Capital Breakfast', she added: "I'm down to do a TV show with Kaz.
"I just think when me and her get together it's so funny.
"We've just got so much energy, we bounce off each other, and then obviously we also have those fundamentals of a good friendship, like being loyal, having your girl's back always.
"So yeah, that's what I'm like at home, I'm a proper girl's girl, so I just brought that into the villa."
Tune into 'Capital Breakfast', weekdays from 6am–10am across the UK.
