Liam Payne has slammed Channel 4's One Direction documentary saying he doesn't "give a f**k" about it.
The 'Kiss You' hitmaker was far from impressed with 'Crazy About One Direction', which aired last night (15.08.13), and took to Twitter to express his anger and defend the group's loyal fans.
The programme gave viewers a glimpse into the lives of One Direction superfans - who are known as Directioners - and the extreme measures they take to honour the boy band heartthrobs.
He tweeted: "Just so all of you know we love you guys and we know how dedicated you are and tbh we can't believe it that you gus spend all you time on us.
"We couldn't give a f**k what any documentary says there dramatised for entertainment and full of bulls**t anyway we all know...How hard you work for us and see it everyday at our shows.
"Let's all take a step back and think about what we/you have all achieved... (sic)".
Liam's message of support comes after 1D's legion of female fans expressed their disgust at the way they were portrayed, claiming it is a misrepresentation of the band's real fanbase.
One wrote on Twitter: "Shame on Channel 4 in the UK airing #CrazyAboutOneDirection and showing Directioners in a negative light to troll for ratings. #ThisIsNotUs (sic)"
Another posted: "Dear channel 4: the majority of us have -never sent death threats -never sent hate to their girlfriends -never mobbed them #ThisIsNOTUs. (sic)"
The controversial documentary followed a dozen hardcore One Direction fans intent on proving their devotion to the boys by any means possible, including death threats to band members' girlfriends and even getting braces to be like Niall Horan.
One fan declared to the cameras, "We can find out literally anything", while another quipped: "I'm part of a fandom that can kill you if they wanted..."
