Laura Whitmore would have "nightmares" if she listened to her boyfriend Iain Stirling's "booming voice" on 'Love Island' overnight.
The 33-year-old TV presenter says the show's narrator likes to exaggerate his vocal talents while he is describing the goings-on in the ITV2 programme's villa, and joked she would suffer from bad dreams if she put episodes of the series on when she was asleep.
Speaking on online music TV show 'Red Stripe Presents: This Feeling TV', she said: "I'd have nightmares! I think he hams it up even more. Day to day he doesn't have that booming voice."
While Laura doesn't understand why Iain has to record his voiceovers from Majorca, where the villa is located, rather than a studio closer to home, she is pleased to see he has been soaking up the sun in Spain when he is not narrating the events in the villa.
She added: "I'm a massive fan [of 'Love Island']. He's there in Majorca for eight weeks - I don't understand why he has to be there. Could he not do it from a studio in London?
"But apparently he has to be there! He's got a lovely tan, though. He's probably the most tanned Scottish man I've ever seen."
The 'Survival of the Fittest' presenter confirmed last August that she and Iain - who met at an ITV party in 2016 - were dating.
She said at the time: "Yeah he's my boyfriend. He's lovely.
"I've got him as my screensaver. I've known him for ages.
"I had never watched 'Love Island' before but I don't need him to give me spoilers because everyone from 'I'm A Celebrity' works on it anyway."
Earlier this year, Iain heaped praise on Laura, describing his significant other as "lovely", and joked he has "done well out of" their romance.
He said: "I've got someone who's like me, but much, much better.
"And Laura's got someone who's like her, but much worse.
"I've done well out of it, but I'm dead happy because she's lovely and stuff."
