Laura Whitmore has confirmed the birth of her daughter.
The 35-year-old presenter and her husband Iain Stirling recently welcomed their first child together and Laura took to picture-sharing app Instagram to post a sweet picture of herself and the baby as she gushed over their joy.
She wrote: "thanks for all the kind messages at this time. We are in love x".
A number of celebrity pals left messages of congratulations on the post with Tamzin Outhwaite writing "congratulations darling" and Gaby Roslin commenting "Huge congratulations. Sending so much love to the three of you".
Jessie Ware wrote "Mazel tov", Davina McCall said "Yaaaaaay" and actress Charlene McKenna gushed: "Awwww this is lovely lovely lovely congratulations. Wishing you a calm peaceful loving start to mammyhood."
'Great British Bake Off' star Candice Brown wrote: "Oh my darling am so so happy for you both congratulations xxxx," while Kimberley Walsh added: "Congrats babe! Enjoy every second."
Meanwhile, Laura previously revealed she and Iain were thankful the COVID-19 pandemic gave them an excuse to have a small wedding.
The couple secretly tied the knot in Dublin’s City Hall last year and Laura admitted they had always planned to have an intimate ceremony, and the restrictions in place due to the health crisis meant friends weren’t offended not to have been invited.
She said: “We knew a year ago, pre-pandemic, what we wanted to do and we were lucky that we were able to do exactly what we wanted.”
Asked if she stressed about the guest list, she said: “I mean, I’m Irish so, unless the whole country comes to the wedding…
“It worked out in our favour as a lot of people assumed we did it small because of Covid.”
Laura wore a white trouser suit by Joshua Kane for her wedding because she gets tired of having to “dress up” for work.
She said: “I’m lucky enough to dress up for my job so, on that day, I just wanted to do it the way I wanted to do it.”
