Laura Carmichael is "delighted" with the final series of 'Downton Abbey'.
The 29-year-old actress - who plays Lady Edith Crawley in the ITV period drama - has revealed that while she's devastated the show is coming to an end, she's happy with the way creator Julian Fellowes has tied up the storylines.
Asked how they manage to keep the plots a secret, Laura said: "I think there's an element that people don't want to know ... And Julian, he's very clever. He knows what you want but he's not going to give it to you in the way that maybe you'd expect.
"I hope people will be pleased. I was delighted with the last series."
The blonde beauty struggled to contain her emotions as she filmed her last ever scene, which is also closing scene of the sixth and final series.
Speaking about how it felt to film it knowing it was the last series, she told ITV's 'This Morning': "The first few months were fine but the last six to eight weeks of filming we were just in bits the whole time.
"[The final scene] was a night shoot which we hadn't really done before so we started at one in the morning and filmed until six ... So I was just trying to hold it together until the last minute and the last shot was my close up and then he said, 'Cut', and I just sort of dissolved."
