'Coronation Street' star Kym Marsh is sick of cleaning up her puppy's poo.
The 42-year-old actress loves her new pooch, who she has named Rico, but she is growing tired of constantly having to mop up his wee and bag his faeces, whilst he has a fondness to chew her seven-year-old daughter Polly's toy dolls.
Writing in her weekly OK! magazine column, she said: "Our new puppy, Rico, is still settling in nicely. He isn't fully vaccinated so he can't get out just yet. I'm getting a bit fed up of cleaning up wee and poo, but he is getting better. He's a bit of a nutter and loves to chew things. I keep catching him with Polly's dolls in his mouth."
Rico - who is a long-haired black, brown and white Chihuahua - is named after Barry Manilow's hit song 'Copacabana' which tells the story of a mobster called Rico who takes a fancy to a showgirl named Lola.
The former Hear'Say pop star thought the moniker would be fitting as she already has a short-haired Chihuahua called Lola along with a King Charles spaniel called Barney, and she says the pooch pair are both bonding well with their new mutt mate.
Kym - who has been playing Michelle Connor on the ITV soap for over 10 years - previously admitted that she hadn't planned to introduce another dog into her home in Cheshire, but couldn't resist when she was told about the adorable puppy by friends.
The TV star - who is in a relationship with Scott Ratcliffe - said: "I had a real softie moment and said, 'I want him.' "
