The former 'Coronation Street' star has urged women to "be vigilant" with their health and encouraged them to get a smear test despite the pandemic.
She wrote in her OK! magazine column: "I am someone who has had pre-cancerous cells - I’ve had them removed and, touch wood, I’m fine. But imagine if I hadn’t gone to that smear test at that time?
"You’ve got to be vigilant ... coronavirus is going on, but other serious illnesses and diseases don’t go away so we’ve got to be aware."Kym has also revealed her daughter Emilie's 21-month-old son Teddy accidentally bust her lip "completely" recently.
Speaking to the publication, she said: "The other day Emilie was working and Teddy was here with his little karaoke machine, singing into it.
"He went to put it into my mouth and accidentally smacked me in the face with it and bust my lip completely. I was properly injured by my grandson, my lip was huge.
"Obviously he didn't mean to hurt me, but I had to try and tell him off, without telling him off, while not laughing about it, otherwise he'd think it was funny and do it again."
Kym - who rose to fame as a member of Hear'Say in the early 2000s - revealed little Teddy has inherited the family's musical gene.
She added: "He loves music. He's always dancing and Emilie's very musical too, so I think it must be in his blood."
The 44-year-old actress - who played Michelle Connor on the cobbles from 2006 until her exit at the end of 2019 - admitted she has been "lucky" to be in a bubble with her loved ones, with many families kept apart due to restrictions in place during the global health crisis.
She said: "I've been really lucky. Teddy's just an absolute joy.
"He's almost two years old now and he's reaching that point where he's testing the boundaries a little bit, and having the odd tantrum, and you need to tell him no."
