Kym Marsh has called for social media companies to start "policing their platforms properly" after trolls set up fake accounts in the names of her children.

The former 'Coronation Street' actress has hit out at the "horrendous" people who create fake accounts pretending to be her and her kids - David, 25, Emilie, 24, and 10-year-old Polly - and she wants to see more action taken to stop such accounts from surfacing.
She said: "Last week I had yet another fake account pretend to be me on Instagram.
"It happens so often and sometimes these trolls even set up fake accounts in the names of my kids.
"It's horrendous and it seems like as soon as we get one shut down, another one pops up.
"It really is time that social media companies like Instagram and Twitter started policing their platforms properly to stop this kind of thing happening."
Kym also reassured fans that if an account of hers doesn't have a blue tick then it is not official.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: "I do have a personal Instagram account for just friends and family, but I'd never message anyone that I don't know.
"So if there's no blue tick, it's not me."
In September, the 44-year-old actress - who played Michelle Connor on the ITV soap - called for social media companies to do more after she was left "shocked" at some of the "sexually explicit content" on the websites.
She said at the time: "I've been sent some horrible messages by dirty old men, and I've been shocked at some of the sexually explicit content I hear is posted on people's feeds.
"It's wild that this content can be so easily shared. This is a real issue.
"I don't want children to be exposed to these things."
