The Girls Aloud star would love to follow in the footsteps of fellow singer, Alesha Dixon, who had a stint on the judging panel of the BBC One celebrity dance contest between 2009 and 2011, after lifting the glitterball trophy in 2007.

The 'Love Machine' star - who has sons Bobby, six, Cole, four, and Nate, four months, with husband Justin Scott - and her professional dance partner Pasha Kovalev were joint runners-up on 'Strictly' in 2012.

Asked if she'd step in to cover Bruno Tonioli like Anton du Beke is currently doing, the 39-year-old star told The Sun newspaper: “I’d love to do that. I’m like a judge watching it from the sofa, anyway. Anything to do with 'Strictly', I’d be there because I’ve got such a passion for it. When you’ve done it and enjoyed it so much, you watch it with a different eye.

“My older two boys are quite into it, bless them. They’re getting into it because they know how much I love it. They are genuinely enjoying watching it this year for the first time.

“Cole said he’s going to learn to dance like that so we can dance like that together when he’s older. It’s so cute.

“'Strictly' is such a feelgood, warm family show and it’s the highlight of my weekends at the moment.”

Kimberley has plenty of experience under her belt, as she was previously a judge on 'Let’s Dance For Sport Relief' in 2010, and a guest panellist on 'Born To Shine' in 2011.

The 2020 series of the Latin and ballroom show saw Kimberley's bandmate Nadine Coyle's ex-fiance, retired NFL player Jason Bell - with whom she has seven-year-old daughter Anaiya - compete.
