'Emmerdale's Kim Tate is planning to expose her mystery poisoner in an explosive dinner party.
The iconic character - played by actress Claire King - has decided to invite her nearest and dearest for lunch at Home Farm and during the get-together, she announces plans to retire and appoint her successor from the people sat at the dinner party.
Claire explained: "Kim is throwing out a line and then seeing who will be reeled in by her shock announcement. Who wants to succeed her the most? Who will she flush out and expose as her poisoner?
"Once again Kim holds all the cards - it’s now a waiting game."
All of her suspects are gathered in one place at the same time and Kim seeks to expose her poisoner in typically calculating style.
Looking forward to the dramatic scenes - which will air later this month - Sophie Roper, 'Emmerdale's story producer, said: "Kim’s explosive discovery will send her on a quest for vengeance that will rock the Tate Empire like never before.
"With a traitor in her midst, Kim’s a very dangerous enemy and as the plot to unmask her poisoner thickens, Home Farm will become a hotbed for secrets and lies. But as Kim discovers who has committed the ultimate betrayal, will Kim be able to stop them before they stop her..."
Meanwhile, Claire previously revealed she'd spent the coronavirus lockdown painting her “whole house” and sending sweet videos to her fans.
Talking about her experience in lockdown, the soap star said: “I’ve been doing loads of little videos for friends, and fans who were just feeling a little down and lonely and just wanted birthday messages or messages to family and things like that.
“I painted the whole house - apart from the kitchen. That was in lockdown one. Lockdown three, we’re actually doing the kitchen at the moment, so I haven’t got a cooker or a sink. So I’ve been washing up in a bucket for the last three weeks, it’s joyous! Absolutely joyous. As well as learning all these lines and things."
