Kieran Hayler thinks reality stars face a constant pressure to "look perfect".
The 34-year-old ex-husband of Katie Price believes TV stars on shows like 'Love Island' find themselves facing an unhealthy degree of scrutiny from the public.
He observed: "There is a lot of pressure to look perfect but what is perfect? And that is why cosmetic surgery Botox fillers are a short-term fix."
Kieran admitted to being concerned for the mental wellbeing of reality stars, suggesting that cosmetic surgery can often have a damaging long-term impact.
He told Simon Gross on the 'Love Island Extra' Instagram show: "Cosmetic surgery makes you feel good but it’s not good for you.
"It doesn’t provide health benefits ... maybe mentally because you're making yourself feel better but then actually it makes you feel quite bad."
Kieran wishes more people would learn to embrace their natural look, rather than turning to cosmetic surgery in order to correct perceived flaws.
He said: "People needs to embrace their natural beauty and be happy with themselves."
Kieran made the statement shortly after two 'Love Island' stars lashed out at Hugo Hammond for saying he doesn't like girls who look "fake".
The reality star admitted that "fakeness" was one of his biggest turn-offs, and his comments angered fellow Islanders Sharon Gaffka and Faye Winter.
During the dramatic scenes, Faye told Hugo: "For me the word fake doesn’t go well.
"My mum and dad watched me cry every day from the age of 13 to 18 because I was underdeveloped, then they bought me a boob job for my 18th birthday because I was having such a tough time."
Hugo apologised for his comments but insisted he didn't mean anything malicious.
