Retired Everton footballer Kevin Kilbane has become the third celebrity to sign-up for the next series of 'Dancing On Ice'.
The 42-year-old sportsman - who won 110 caps for Republic of Ireland and also played for Sunderland, Hull City and Wigan Athletic among other clubs - is getting ready to take to the ice but admits he'll be going on the ITV show as a "total novice" when it comes to skating.
Confirming his involvement on 'talkSPORT', he said: "I am going on as a total novice. I'm starting from scratch here. This is going to be a massive challenge for me. I've been taking it easy since I finished football, so let's just see how this one goes."
Kevin's announcement follows 'Love Island' star Maura Higgins and TV presenter Michael Barrymore being confirmed for the next series.
Nine further celebrities will be announced in the coming weeks.
Revealing she's getting her skates on during an episode of 'This Morning' - which is presented by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who also host 'Dancing On Ice' - Maura said: "It's massive. [The headbanger] is what frightens me - but I think I'm more excited than scared. Like, I'm brave and competitive, so I think that'll drive me... I've skated twice in my life just for fun, so I have no experience at all. It's very scary!"
The twelfth series of 'Dancing On Ice' will see John Barrowman take over as a judge with Jason Gardiner leaving the programme. He joins Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo on the panel.
'Dancing On Ice' returns on ITV in 2020.
