Kerry Katona was left frantic after her nine-year-old daughter was hospitalised and placed in isolation.
The former Atomic Kitten star's youngest child DJ fell ill last week and was admitted to hospital where doctors diagnosed her with a nasty bout of flu - and Kerry had to take time off from her panto rehearsals so she could stay by her side.
In her column for new! magazine, the mother-of-five explained: "I've had a nightmare this week as DJ was taken into hospital for tests after having a really high temperature for a couple of days.
"It turned out she had really bad influenza, so they had to put her in isolation. I took some days off work to stay with her."
DJ has since been discharged from hospital and is receiving home visits from nurses while Kerry's fiance Ryan Mahoney looks after her.
Kerry, 43, added: "She’s home now, but nurses are still coming to us to visit. It’s been scary and she’s still full of cold, but she’s on the mend. Ryan is looking after her while I go back to work."
It comes after Kerry admitted she has "health anxiety" about DJ - whose dad was Kerry late ex George Kay - after the youngster experienced a number of "fainting spells".
In a previous column for the magazine, Kerry wrote: "I have health anxiety when it comes to DJ. I worry about her, especially recently as she’s had a few fainting spells.
"We took her for an MRI and the doctor found something. We’re waiting as her results have been sent to a neurosurgeon, but the doctor seems to think she’s alright. "He said that lots of us could have what she has but we’ve just not had MRIs."
Kerry is also mother to Molly, 22, and 20-year-old Lilly-Sue with first husband Brian McFadden, and Heidi, 16, and Max, 15, with second husband Mark Croft.
