Kenny Tutt has been crowned the winner of 'MasterChef' 2018.
The 35-year-old bank manager beat off stiff competition from fellow finalists David Crichton and Nawamin Pinpathomrat during Friday's (13.04.18) final of the BBC cooking competition, and came out victorious with his menu, which was inspired by his 'MasterChef' journey.
Kenny cooked up a three course meal for the high-stake final, including a starter of roast scallops, smoked cauliflower, shimeji mushroom, and pancetta.
His main course consisted of Squab pigeon breast and bon-bon, heritage beetroot, baby turnip, spiced cherries, bread sauce, and game jus, whilst his dessert was Bitter chocolate, ale ice-cream, malt tulip, and smoked caramel.
After being crowned the winner, and emotional Kenny said: "It is a really special day. I have learnt so much and I couldn't appreciate it any more.
"Today was 100 percent my best cooking in the entire competition everything just fell into place.
"I am just blown away. I have put my heart and soul into it and it's been an absolute pleasure. It's up there with the happiest days of my life!"
Judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode praised the champion on his "crowd-pleasing" winning dishes, with John even dubbing the amateur chef as "extraordinary".
He said: "I think Kenny's journey has been extraordinary. He has come a long way. His food has got more and more refined and his main course was make-my-heart-thump fantastic!"
Kenny will walk away with the coveted 'MasterChef' trophy as well as the prestige of being the top chef overall for 2018.
Recently, the banker revealed he would like to open a "gastro pub" following his time on the popular cooking competition.
He said: "I would love to open a gastro pub like Tom Kerridge's The Hand and Flowers. Not aiming high, just a Michelin star."
