Kelly Macdonald has signed up for the English-speaking version of 'Call My Agent!'.
The 'Line of Duty' actress is set to play an exaggerated version of herself in the upcoming adaptation of the popular French series, which focuses on a top Paris talent agency.
According to the Daily Mail newspaper's Baz Bamigboye column, Kelly will be part of the show alongside Helena Bonham Carter and Olivia Williams.
'W1A' and 'Twenty Twelve' creator John Morton is leading the way for the new show, and he previously admitted he was "daunted" by the task of adapting such a popular series.
He said: "I’m thrilled, startled and daunted to be given the chance to re-create such a wonderful show as 'Call My Agent!' for an English language audience."
It was recently revealed the original French show will return for a fifth season as well as a feature film, which surprised fans who expected the fourth series to be the last.
Thomas Anargyros - chief executive of Mediawan Studios - revealed the news earlier this month.
He said: "We're making great process [on the film].
"We want to produce it this year, and we’re looking to air it likely at the end of the year or early next year. And we’ll move forward with a new season for 'Call My Agent!' "
The French version has featured high-profile celebrity cameos including the likes of Sigourney Weaver, Juliette Binoche and Isabelle Huppert.
It's expected the film will go into production either by the end of 2021 or early next year, and reports suggest the story will see the characters go to New York.
The fifth series will be set after the movie, although it will be a reboot with a new cast of talent agents.
