Several past 'X Factor' rejects have returned to try their luck in this year's series.
Boy band Rough Copy - who were forced off the show last year after Nigerian-born Kazeem Ajobe didn't get a visa in time to travel to judge Louis Walsh's Las Vegas home - are among the wannabes who are back on the programme in a bid to impress the judges.
Girl band Dolly Rockers, who first made an appearance on the show in 2006, have also tried their luck again, winning a place at Boot Camp following last week's Wembley Arena auditions.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "There have been so many recognisable faces on this year's show it's turned into something of a 'best of the rejects' special.
"It'll be extremely frustrating to people not given the chance to see someone who has already had a crack at it go through again."
Several solo artists are also bidding for success on the show again, including Terry Winstanley, who got through to Judges Houses in 2011 but failed to progress to the live finals.
Irish singer Melanie McCabe is having a fourth stab at making it big in the music industry, and Jade Richards is back for a third time, while Amy Mottram - who progressed to Judges Houses last year - is also giving it another shot.
A show insider defended the returning contestants, saying: "We often say to people when they get the push at a late stage that they might need some more practice to get where they want to be.
"12 months is a long time to do that so they may well come back and be such a great singer they win."
