Katie Piper says joining the 'Loose Women' panel was a "dream come true".
The Samsung 'Galaxy Life Gym' ambassador loved going from being a fan of the ITV talk show to becoming a panellist earlier this year and she was thrilled to see her co-stars are just the same on screen as they are when the cameras are off.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "'Loose Women' was a real bucket list tick for me, I loved the show as a viewer so being asked to become a panellist was just a dream come true.
"They’re exactly like they are on telly when they’re off screen.
"They’re really mischievous, they’re really welcoming. It’s great to be able to go on a show that actually encourages healthy debate. It’s really, really good fun.”
Away from the show, Katie has partnered with Samsung to launch the 'Galaxy Life Gym' - a free wellness pop-up - powered by Galaxy Watch4 and can’t wait to get stuck into their events, which will take place in London and Manchester over the next few weeks.
She said: "We’ve partnered together to launch the Galaxy Life Gym which
is powered by the Galaxy Watch4, which is this amazing watch that helps
you track your fitness and your goals and we’ve got this pop up that’s
happening this weekend in central London, where I'm gonna be there
working out with everyone."
The free events - which take place in London on 30 and 31 August and Manchester on November 5 and 6 - will feature activities such as yoga and Pilates, and even dancing with a drag queen.
The 38-year-old star said: "I’m definitely gonna be doing that!"
With the partnership, Katie hopes to help those who find the idea of exercise too overwhelming.
She said: "I hope what people see is that there isn’t one-size fits all when it comes to exercise. If you do find a space intimidating or not accessible we want to find you other ways that you can stay fit, stay healthy.
“It’s not just the body, it’s the mind. We want to help people get that endorphin release that we all know is so important after the last 18 months.
"It is just as important to track and monitor both [mental and physical health]. When you do one, the other one naturally complements the other. We should never prioritise one over the other more.
“It doesn’t have to be hitting the weight section, it can be a walk. It can even be a dance.
Dancing with friends – it is such a feel-good thing.”
