Katie McGlynn has sliced her foot open ahead of her 'Strictly Come Dancing' debut.

The former 'Coronation Street' star is one of a number of celebrities who are set to take to the dance floor in the coming weeks, but the 28-year-old actress was said to be left in "severe pain" after she booted a glass glitterball while shooting social media content for the Latin and ballroom show last week.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Her feet were properly exposed in high heels and she was dolled up to the nines for filming.
"After giving it a brief run-up, she pelted the ball and was left in severe pain.
"There was glass everywhere and everyone was left in shock at what happened."
Medics saw to Katie - who starred as Sinead Osbourne in 'Corrie' - at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire following the incident on Friday (03.09.21).
She is said to have thought the glitterball was just a plastic prop.
Katie's spokesperson told MailOnline: "During filming promotional content for Strictly, Katie accidentally sustained a small cut to her foot as a result of kicking a prop.
"The injury is minimal, doesn't require any further attention and she is completely fine."
Last month, 'Strictly' bosses were said to be considering pairing 'Hollyoaks' star Katie - who plays Becky Quentin in the Channel 4 soap - up with Giovanni Pernice.
An insider said: "The show’s bosses always strive to pair up pros and celebrities likely to have the most chemistry.
"In that respect, Giovanni and Katie are an obvious choice.
"But they have to consider if that could have the knock-on effect of making life so difficult outside of the rehearsal studio that it might impact on their performances."
The 28-year-old actress was romantically linked to Giovanni - who is now dating former 'Love Island' star Maura Higgins - in 2017.
At the time, there was speculation Giovanni and Katie had been on a romantic night out.
But the star later denied she and the pro dancer - who had recently split from former 'Corrie' actress Georgia May Foote, who he partnered in the 2015 series of 'Strictly' - were an item.
