Katie Hopkins is to undergo open-brain surgery later this year.
The controversial star - who suffers from epilepsy - has revealed she is set to go under the knife in a bid to reduce the number of seizures she has.
Asked what her biggest fear is, Katie - who has daughters Poppy and India with ex-husband Damian McKinney and son Maximillian with husband Mark Cross - said: "Later in this year at some point I'll probably have open-brain surgery to help with my epilepsy. It's nocturnal so I only suffer at nights, in case people are wondering why I'm not fitting all over the place. During the surgery I have to talk and move my left hand and left leg while they're operating - because where they go in [to the brain] is near those things. So that's a fear, but it's only a physical fear, so I need to man up a bit."
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' and 'The Apprentice' contestant is known for her outspoken views on everything from obesity to euthanasia but she insists her life isn't as easy as some people may think.
She told Now magazine: "There are many risks with it [the surgery], so I'll get the show out of the way first. Sometimes people imagine my life is like, 'ta-dah!', but everyone has their things and this is mine. That's OK, though. It'll be OK. Can you hear how many times I keep telling myself it'll be OK? It will be OK. I'm just scared of that moment when I'm talking and I know my brain is exposed. It's like, 'F**k!' "
