'Coronation Street's Eva Price is to strike up a secret romance with Jason Grimshaw.
The blonde barmaid - who is played by Katherine Tyldesley - finds herself getting caught up in a steamy love affair with her mum's ex-boyfriend (Ryan Thomas) in coming weeks, but a tricky love triangle flares up after Stella Price (Michelle Collins) finds out.
A source told Soap Life magazine: "It'll be a classic 'Corrie' love triangle. You've got two of the most popular and attractive characters in Jason and Eva then sexy cougar Stella thrown in as the scorned ex."
Jason still has a soft spot for the Rovers Return owner and vows to stand by her after her former husband Karl Munro (John Mitchie) confesses to his killer crimes, but the longer Jason spends at the boozer, the more he flirts with Eva.
The source explained: "Jason still cares for Stella, so he's spending a lot of time at the Rovers to offer any help he can. But the more he's round there, the closer he gets to Eva.
"The chemistry is electric and they can't help themselves."
Michelle Collins recently announced that she would be bowing out of the ITV soap when her contract expires in April, which came as a huge blow to show bosses.
A source said previously: "'Corrie' will have pulled out all the stops to try to keep Michelle as she is one of their biggest stars. It's a real blow losing her and it will be incredibly tough and expensive to replace her. They wanted her to stay for a lot longer -- and this news really couldn't have come at a worse time."
