Kate Magowan has joined the cast of 'EastEnders'.
The 'Silent Witness' star will strut her stuff onto Albert Square next month when she appears as beautiful businesswoman Sadie Young, who is set to "sprinkle a little glamour over Walford" as she attracts the attention of several male characters on the BBC One soap.
Kate said: "I'm thrilled and looking forward to seeing what Sadie will get up to."
Show bosses have big plans for the "no-nonsense" character and viewers will eventually see her reveal a mysterious side.
Lorraine Newman, EastEnders' executive producer, added: "We're delighted to have the stunning Kate Magowan joining the show. Sadie will sprinkle a little glamour over Walford, and with her no-nonsense approach to life, she's a great role model to those around her - she knows what she wants and will aim high.
"Sadie plays as hard as she works, creating friendships and admirers in her wake. As the autumn unfolds, we'll soon realise that there is far more to Sadie than simply meets the eye."
The arrival of Sadie is just one of the summer shake-ups the soap has in store for viewers as Samantha Womack is returning to reprise her role as stiff-upper-lipped Ronnie Mitchell, Mimi Keene is joining the show as Cindy Beale Jnr, and Jamie Lomas is to star as recovering alcoholic Jake Stone.
