Kate Lawler is "scared" and "upset" about the possibility of giving birth alone after the UK was hit with a third national lockdown.
The former 'Big Brother' winner broke down in tears as she revealed her fiance Martin may not be able to attend the birth of her first child, which is booked for six weeks' time, and she finds it "terrifying" that he might not be there to hold her hand.
She said: "I think I should invest in some waterproof mascara, don't you? I've been crying, that's why I look like death.
"I've just got off the phone to my obstetrician, we were talking about the birth and my birth has been booked in for six weeks today.
"But because Covid cases are on the rise, there's a chance that Boj [Martin] might not be able to come to hospital with me.
"I might have to go it alone, so first of all my heart goes out to any woman who had to give birth without her partner there."
Kate also admitted she has a "huge fear of childbirth".
Speaking in an Instagram video, she added: "As someone who has a huge fear of childbirth, the idea of giving birth to my baby alone without the person I love there holding my hand is just terrifying.
"It's just not for me, it's not what I want so of course I'm upset but there's nothing we can do."
The 40-year-old radio DJ - who shot to fame in 2002 when she won the third series of 'Big Brother' - revealed last September that she and Martin were expecting their first child together, and she later revealed they are to have a girl.
Posting a video on Instagram, with Beyoncé's hit single 'Run The World (Girls)' playing in the background, Kate wrote: "My long term plan to assume total control over the household is nearly complete (Just kidding). We are both delighted to share with you all, that we are having a little girl. Happy Sunday everyone. (sic)"
Kate shared the news she was expecting last year, and admitted she had "never felt more ready" to welcome a child.
She said at the time: "I have never felt more ready.
"For a lot of my life I did feel pressured and I wasn't ready. You have to do what's right for you. I think I am going to be a much happier person knowing that I did this when I wanted to."
