Kate Garraway was horrified to discover she is "three times older" than her 'Hollyoaks' co-stars.
The 50-year-old TV presenter has landed a role on the popular soap and is set to appear on screen later this year, but Kate has admitted to being shocked by the age gap between herself and most of her new colleagues.
Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain', she said: "I'm three times older than everyone in 'Hollyoaks'."
But her quick-witted co-star Ben Shephard said: "You tick a box."
And Kate was happy to accept the comment as a compliment, replying: "Thank you."
The blonde star was also willing to tease some details of her new on-screen role.
Kate shared: "I can't give too much away, but it's a massive plotline.
"It's this September. It's a big, big week of drama kicking off in September and I'm very excited by it. It's going to be very good."
Kate also discussed her role on the show on her Twitter account earlier this month, saying she has a part in a "big plot" on the programme.
The presenter - who also appeared on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2007 - wrote on the micro-blogging site: "Big tks to the Hollyoaks gang 4 making filming my small part in a big plot for sept- so much fun!!! u are going to be gripped!! (sic)"
However, she was careful not to share any specific details of the storyline, adding the hashtag "#nospoilers".
