Karen Hauer is "slowly recuperating" after injuring her knee.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional - who was partnered with Greg Wise on the 2021 series of the BBC Latin and ballroom show - was forced to watch the final at home after suffering a tear on the meniscus and "a cartilage flap".
Karen avoided surgery and instead had knee injections, while she has also been on a "knee rehab program" for the past four weeks.
And now, the choregrapher says she is "feeling stronger" after doing "amazing" physiotherapy, abstaining from drinking alcohol and getting plenty of shut-eye.
She updated fans on Instagram over the weekend: “Week four of my knee rehab program. Feeling stronger, focused and more determined than ever.
“No alcohol, more sleep, good food, more recovery time, amazing physio.
“I went to physio this morning so I’m feeling pretty pumped.
“All going really well with my knees. I’m really, really happy and thankful and grateful to my body for slowly recuperating.”
At the time she sustained the injury, Karen said: “So currently I have two things wrong with my knee.
“So there’s a little bit of a tear on my meniscus and then there’s also a little cartilage flap behind my knee but they’re very minor so instead of an op I got a knee injection so that’s good news."
Karen revealed her boyfriend Jordan Jones had to help her get over her fear of needles.
She said: “I mean, I am terrified of injections and needles. I hate needles so I’m glad that it happened already.
“I pretty much bit off Jordan’s jacket, but at least I’m not going into surgery which is good for now.
“I need to rest for a couple of days and then I start rehab on Monday."
