Julien Macdonald is tipping Lesley Joseph to be a hit on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and he can't wait to see her "rattle her hips" on the dancefloor.
The 45-year-old fashion designed competed on the BBC ballroom show in 2013 and lasted until week four with his professional partner Janette Manrara.
Julien cannot wait for the first dance of the new series and believes the 70-year-old 'Birds of a Feather' actress could be one to watch.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz as he launched an installation piece at The May Fair Hotel in London to mark the start of London Fashion Week, he said: "I saw the opening show last week and I thought it was really, really great. 'Strictly' is Britain's number one TV show, it's loved and adored by everybody, I love it!
"I'm excited to see Lesley Joseph, I like to see an older lady on it. I want to see her rattle her hips on the dancefloor, there's a lot of swing in that lady! I do think it's a great mixture or all different great British people of all shapes and sizes all hitting the 'Strictly' dancefloor for a glamorous night every Saturday."
Lesley is joined on this year's line-up by the likes of Will Young, Olympic long jumper Greg Rutherford, Daisy Lowe, TV presenter Laura Whitmore, Louise Redknapp and former Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls.
Julien insists you can never guess who is going to be a great mover until the competition kicks off, but his top tip to those taking part is to "enjoy" every moment they're on the programme.
He said: "You can never tell who is going to do well, when we see the first dance everyone is going to be like, 'Who is going to make it, and who is going to break it on that dancefloor?' They've just got to enjoy it, have fun and try not to get too stressed. It is incredibly hard but it's all about your journey with 'Strictly'. People do like the underdog and if you make mistakes that's OK. You can be bad in the beginning and then be the star at the end."
Julien was thrilled to be asked by The May Fair Hotel to create the window display to celebrate London Fashion Week as the exclusive inn will attract some of the biggest names in the industry in the next few days and is serving drinks and offering spa treatments to give guests a taste of the A-list lifestyle.
He said: "To launch London Fashion Week is fantastic. This is the hotel where all of the most fashionable people will be staying. To team up with The Mayfair Hotel and put one of my animal prints in the window to make it very glamorous is great fun for me."
