Julien Macdonald is prepared to do battle with Craig Revel Horwood on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The fashion designer is expecting the no-nonsense judge to criticise him on the BBC One show, but he is ready to give as good as he gets and has warned Craig to expect a reaction if he dares to slam his dancing efforts.
He told BANG Showbiz: "I know Craig is going to wind me up anyway, he's already started. But Craig knows if he says something to me then he's going to get it back.
"He's probably thinking, 'Julien, I'm going to get you, I'm going to get you,' just to see what I'm going to say."
As well as preparing to go up against Craig, Julien admits he will not hold back if any of the judges - who also include Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli - hit out at his dancing without being constructive.
He added: "I've watched the show and I never understand why all the celebrities just stand there and take a grilling from the judges.
"If you've been working weeks to perfect a dance and they say, 'By the way, you're s**t,' then I'm going to say, 'Well, I've actually been doing this all week so is there one part of it that's good? Or can tell me what I'm doing wrong?'
"At the end of the day I'm not a shrinking violet. If they do give me constructive criticism then I'll take it, however if they don't I'll disagree with them.
"I'm not afraid of them. They're human people and they might be experts in their field but I am going to give it my best shot.
'Strictly Come Dancing' returns on BBC One tomorrow night (07.09.13) at 6:50pm.
