Julie Hesmondhalgh admitted her husband won't give her any 'Coronation Street' spoilers.
The former soap star - who starred on the cobbles as Hayley Cropper from 1998 until 2014 - has revealed while her man Ian Kershaw is still a writer for the ITV show, he doesn't reveal any behind the scenes secrets.
Appearing on ITV's 'This Morning', she said: "We've still got a lovely 'Corrie' connection in our family. Although he's been very mean about giving me the gossip. I used to tell him everything, he won't tell me anything!"
While Julie, 48, has forged an impressive career after 'Corrie' with roles in the likes of 'Cucumber', 'Broadchurch' and 'Happy Valley', she doesn't think she will ever step out of Hayley's shadow.
She laughed: "I've not been totally successful in that, I don't think. I've always that my obituary page will be me in that red anorak, no matter what I go on to do."
The actress is now in the middle of a run treading the boards for her latest stage role as the title role in 'Mother Courage and Her Children' at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.
The play is running from February 8 to March 2, and Julie admitted she doesn't mind that she's still remembered most for her time on the cobbles.
She said: "I don't mind at all. It brings... there's people who loved Hayley and love 'Corrie' who'll come see this play, they're not gonna get what they might expect... it's bringing that lovely, loyal 'Corrie' audience to something new."
