Josie Gibson was "pushed out of her comfort zone" by Alison Hammond on 'This Morning.'
The 37-year-old TV star shot to fame when she won 'Big Brother' in 2011 and teamed up with fellow alum Alison - who appeared on the Channel 4 reality show back in 2002 - to take over presenting duties on the ITV daytime show during the summer of 2022 but "would not have been able" to take on the role had it not been for her co-host.
She said: "I get really nervous, and I would not have been able to do that show if it wasn’t for Alison… and (regular host) Holly [Willoughby]. But when I used to go in the studios, Alison would say to me 'When I do a demo you need to hear the whole gallery, just in case you ever get the call and you know what it’s like.'"
Josie - who normally hosts the daily competition segments on 'This Morning' - was initially drafted in as a last-minute stand-in presenter for the main show alongside long-standing host Phillip Schofield when Holly was off sick back in November 2021 and explained that she was only able to do it because Alison had already given her the "tricks and tips" of the job.
She told Metro.co.uk: "So Alison used to push me really out of my comfort zone, and because she did that, I was able to fill in that day with Phil, because if I hadn’t had got all those tricks and tips of Alison telling me about everything. I would have never been able to do it."
