Josie Gibson is reportedly feeling "gutted" after being replaced on ‘This Morning’.
The 39-year-old TV star had taken the reigns of the ITV programme after Holly Willoughby’s exit in 2023 - but Josie has been left feeling heartbroken by ITV's decision to opt to move forward with Ben Shepard and Cat Deeley instead.
The TV insider told OK! magazine: "The person who is really gutted that she wasn't given the role is Josie Gibson - her nose is out of joint. She was touted as the new Holly but wasn't the case. She's hurt over the decision."
The source also claimed that Alison Hammond was offered a full-time position on the show, but opted to “turn it down” after she decided that she "doesn’t what the responsibility".
The insider shared: “Alison was given the ‘This Morning’ job to do it full time; she was actually the one who didn't want it."
Meanwhile, Alison recently insisted that she never wanted the job, as she was busy with her other TV commitments.
The 'Great British Bake Off' presenter - who previously co-hosted ‘This Morning’ with Dermot O’Leary - was happy to fill the void following Holly's exit, but she's backed Cat and Ben to "save that show".
Asked if she's held talks about possibility presenting the programme in the future, Alison told The Sunday Times Magazine: "Absolutely not. How could I? I live in Birmingham and do 'Bake Off' and 'For the Love of Dogs'.
"I never wanted that job. Last year we did extra because we were going through issues, but Cat and Ben will save that show."
