The Voice's Joseph Apostol claims nobody would throw eggs at the show's judges - because the series is "friendlier" than 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The 21-year-old hopeful made a sly dig at the rival ITV talent show after viola player Natalie Holt stormed the stage during the live 'BGT' final on Saturday night (08.06.13) and began pelting head judge Simon Cowell with the oval objects while singers Richard and Adam Johnson performed.
But the wannabe can't imagine a similar occurrence on The Voice's live semi-final on Saturday (15.06.13) because he insists everyone who works on the BBC series is pleasant and the show is more calm than 'BGT'.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm not expecting the same on Saturday. I think the show is much friendlier and much more at peace than that other show.
"All of us are nice here. It's a great show to be on."
Joseph is hoping to wow viewers with a slightly different rendition of Boyz II Men's 'End of the Road' on this weekend's semi-final, and he is feeling more confident about the performance after receiving breathing tips from his mentor Sir Tom Jones.
He added: "I'm going to try to do something different with the song so hopefully that will work.
"I'm so glad I picked Tom to be my mentor. He's been giving me breathing tips which has really helped me. I'm looking forward to it."
The Voice's live semi-final airs on BBC One on Saturday at 7pm.
