Jonny Mitchell has landed his first acting gig.
The 'Love Island' star has kept himself to himself in recent months following his explosive split from Stephanie Pratt last year, but it looks like his work schedule is about to pick up as he's landed the leading role of Jack in the theatre production of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' at a small theatre in Wrexham this festive period.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Work for Jonny has really dried up recently so he was chuffed to be offered his first acting job. Plenty of reality stars appear in panto and end up making a lot of money from it. He's willing to give anything a go at this stage and it will be great acting experience for him too.
"There was a lot of talk about him joining the cast of 'Made in Chelsea' following his romance with Stephanie Pratt but he's looking at new opportunities now."
The 27-year-old hunk previously admitted he would have loved to be part of the E4 series but bosses lost interest in him once he had split from Stephanie.
The now-former couple found themselves locked in a bitter war of words online last year after she accused him of cheating on her - allegations he denied.
He said at the time: "I was completely baffled and still am. She also said she had video of me attacking her, but I categorically deny there was ever any abuse and I haven't heard from the police.
"Dating Steph Pratt was a surreal experience for me anyway. I was very much not wearing the trousers in that situation so I wouldn't have done anything to screw it up. I was really into her and I'm gutted this is how things have turned out."
Jonny shot to fame last summer on 'Love Island'.
