The 68-year-old actor - who is best known for playing hitman Mike Ehrmantraut in the hit series - has confessed he loves seeing his work come to life and can't understand actors who claim they don't like seeing themselves on screen.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I don't understand that. Yeah, I get a kick out of seeing myself. Sometimes I go, 'Oh I don't like that, I wish I'd done that differently', but no I love what I do."

Jonathan also admitted that despite being in the industry for over thirty years, he gets recognised more now than ever before thanks to 'Breaking Bad' and the prequel 'Better Call Saul'.

Asked if more people have started recognising him since he starred in the show, he said: "Oh I think so. I would be coy to say otherwise.

"I love it. I'm an unapologetic narcissist, what can I say?"

Meanwhile, Banks - who last week saw items from 'Breaking Bad' donated to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History - recently starred alongside 'Scrubs' actor John C. McGinley in 'Watercolor Postcards' and revealed it was the joy of playing an "old wise guy" that attracted him to the project.

He said: "My friend [the film's writer] Conrad Goode and John McGinley were doing it. They're dear friends and I love the role of the old wise guy and it was just a pleasure to do it. I wanted to do it. It was a pleasure to do, it was a pleasure to work with Conrad."
