John Cena has just fallen into a social media trap usually left open for fellow WWE icon Hulk Hogan, having retweeted a picture of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn to promote his upcoming new television series Show Your Grit.

Ryan Carse took to Twitter, sending out a message to Cena with the official Show Your Grit hashtag whilst pretending the picture of Jeremy Corbyn he sent was his grandad, 'the son of an electric engineer'.

Though this joke is harmless, as mentioned it's usually Hulk Hogan who is trolled on Twitter, with the athlete retweeting pictures of celebrities such as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (who he thought was HIV+) and Raoul Moat (who he thought was the dying brother of a fan) in the past, amongst others.

John Cena's Show Your Grit starts on FOX in the US tomorrow, Thursday April 14.
