John Bishop has landed his own "intimate" chat show.

The Liverpudlian comedian has nabbed his own ten-part series 'John Bishop: In Conversation With...', which will appear on the revamped digital channel W, as he grills some high-flying celebrities on the nitty-gritty parts of their lives.
A spokesperson for the channel said: "Each week, John will be joined by a household name to discover the person behind the public persona in a series of intimate and revealing one-on-one interviews."
And the 49-year-old star - who is married to Melanie Bishop - should have no problem squeezing the intimate details out of his guests as this isn't his first presenting gig - having previously fronted 'John Bishop's Christmas Show', 'John Bishop's Only Joking' and 'John Bishop's Gorilla Adventure'.
Meanwhile, John isn't the only person who has scored his own show recently as Amanda Holden will helm 'I've Got Something To Tell You', which sees ordinary families eat and drink together and reveal extraordinary secrets in the process as she observes from the sidelines, on the same channel.
Though the shows are widely different, the channel - which comes under the umbrella of UKTV - is thrilled to have the "extraordinary" TV personalities on board the network.
