John Barrowman has claimed he was kicked out of a restaurant in Washington on Friday (23.06.23) evening.
The 56-year-old ‘Torchwood’ actor detailed the alleged incident on Twitter, where he claimed he and a pal entered the restaurant only to be escorted out moments later.
He wrote on Twitter: "Not a very good impression @mcmenaminsbeer. We were basically escorted out and told politely you can’t eat here. #Tacoma Jb."
He also posted a video of himself outside the establishment, where he said: "Hello everyone. We've just had the weirdest thing happen us. This is McMenamins Elks Temple and it's a bunch of restaurants and apparently they also have a place in Portland I'm told. And we just had the weirdest thing happen to us. The gentleman, in a polite way, guided us out of one restaurant, into another and kind of persuaded us not to come in."
"Right?" he questioned his companion, who replied "kicked us out."
John repeated "kicked us out" and added: "Not a good recommendation. McMenamins McNot."
McMenamins is a family-owned chain of brewpubs, breweries, music venues, historic hotels, and theatre pubs in Oregon and Washington.
According to DailyMail.com, it was founded in 1983 and "one of their unique selling points is that many of their establishments are rehabilitated historical properties".
At least nine are on the National Register of Historic Places
John tagged the company in his post but McMenamins have yet to publicly reply.
