Joel Dommett keeps having flashbacks from 'Soccer Aid' after he conceded three goals.
The 'Masked Singer' host stepped in to be England's goalkeeper at the last-minute as Paddy McGuinness was out injured and Roman Kemp couldn't play due to a positive coronavirus test.
But a Kem Cetinay brace and one from Lee Mack ensured the World XI ran out 3-0 winners in the charity football match last Saturday (04.09.21), and Joel hasn't been able to forget the game.
He joked: "I don't really feel like I'll ever be OK.
"I didn't save the ball, but I saved the day!
"Honestly, I keep having this flashback and this moment of dread and it's this 'Soccer Aid' thing."
Lee missed three penalties in three consecutive 'Soccer Aid' games before he struck in last weekend's game - and Joel admitted that despite being on the opposite team to the comedian, he felt "so proud" of him when he scored.
He said: "It really was amazing, because Lee has been looking for a goal for the past four years.
"And I know how scary the whole thing is.
"I know he was on the other team and this isn't what you're supposed to say in football but, 'I'm so proud of him.'
"I didn't let it in on purpose. I'm just bad at it."
Joel, 36, admitted the most important part of the occasion was raising more than £13 million for Unicef, and he revealed a number of fans contacted him to say they had donated because he was "so bad" in goal.
Speaking on 'This Morning', he added: "But the best thing is, we raised so much money for an amazing cause.
"It was over £13 million, and so many people messaged to say they only donated because I was so bad in goal.
"So that's a highlight, it's fine."
