Joel Dommett wants to play James Bond with his wife Hannah Cooper by his side.
The 35-year-old comedian - who got married in 2019 - recently joined forces with his partner for their lockdown show ‘Home Alone’, but the model is hoping to land the part of a Bond girl on the big screen and Joel wants in on the action.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Hannah’s always wanted to be a TV presenter. She has always had a bit too much personality to stand behind the camera.
“She would love to be a Bond girl. I mean, if I could be the Bond that would be absolutely fantastic.”
But Joel knows his "level of sarcasm" wouldn’t necessarily help him out in his mission to be the next 007.
He added: “I think my sort of underlying level of sarcasm doesn’t really fit Bond.”
The couple wed in a romantic ceremony - which was officiated by ‘Love Island’ narrator Iain Stirling - on the Greek Island of Mykonos after a two-year engagement.
Joel popped the question on the last page of his book ‘It’s Not Me, It’s Them: Confessions of a Hopeless Romantic’.
A source revealed: "He managed to keep it under wraps for weeks.
"He was so determined to keep it a secret. It’s so romantic and of course Hannah wasn’t expecting it at all. You can’t get a better proposal than that – it’s in black and white. It was the perfect way to ask her."
The lovebirds then paired up for their ITV2 show, in which they hosted celebrity call-ins, comedy interviews and games with self-isolated viewers.
At the time of its launch, he said: “I’m so excited to try and cheer up the nation in this extraordinary time from my own home.
“I have limited resources – a camera, the internet and my wife. We could either make porn, or a show for ITV2. We decided on the latter – although both would make people laugh.”
