Joel Dommett, Nicola Adams and Ryan Thomas have joined 'Gassed Up'.
The 'Masked Dancer' presenter, former professional boxer, and ex-'Coronation Street' actor are to appear in the new BBC Three motoring show, which is expected to air in the new year.
A source said: "They’ve managed to get together a decent starting line-up. So far Ryan, Nicola and Joel have all filmed challenges and the results have been really funny.
"All of them were really brave and up for everything.
"There are a few more stars yet to sign on the dotted line but it’s hoped filming will be completed by October."
The new show, in which the contestants will take part in various vehicle challenges, has been described as a "funnier, younger brother" to fellow BBC motoring show 'Top Gear'.
The source added to The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: "Rapper Mist, real name Rhys Sylvester, is on board as the host.
"He is a car obsessive and was the perfect person to front the show.
"While the Beeb have Top Gear on BBC One, 'Gassed Up' is going to be a bit like the funnier younger brother."
Earlier this month, it was revealed music mogul Simon Cowell is planning a motoring show, after 'The X Factor' was rested.
A source said at the time: "He was famously a guest driver on 'Top Gear' and loves talking cars.
"He has been approached by a number of well-known car experts and racing drivers wanting to partner with him over the years.
"Right now there feels like an especially large appetite.
"The idea of a new car show is really a no-brainer for him."
